We also integrate EVOH layers in our recyclable films to provide enhanced oxygen protection. These structures remain compatible with the UK’s recycling stream and align with OPRL guidance & local collection capabilities. However, we always advise our clients to check local kerbside recycling availability, as collection systems can vary across the UK.
These are some of the questions we are most often asked about custom printed sachets and flat pouches.
We can add simple tear notches, laser scoring for a controlled tear and peelable seals where a clean, easy opening is important, for example in cosmetics or medical applications. The opening style is chosen around the product, pack size and how the sachet will be used.
For products such as collagen, vitamins and other sensitive powders we usually work with high barrier structures, for example PET foil PE or PET metalised PE. These films give strong protection against oxygen and moisture so the product stays stable through its shelf life.
In many cases, yes. We can specify high temperature resistant laminates for pasteurised, hot fill or retort applications, as long as we understand your time, temperature and product conditions. Once we have those details, we can confirm if a 3 side seal format is the right fit.
As a guide, we can produce sachets from around 30 x 30 mm upwards, depending on the material, seal margins and the product being filled. Very small sachets are common for skincare, condiments and pharma, and we will always check that the size is practical for printing and filling.
Yes. With the right laminate and seal design, 3 side seal pouches can safely hold liquids such as sauces, oils and cosmetic gels. For liquids we pay particular attention to seal width, seal strength and how the sachet will be opened, to minimise the risk of leaks or splashes.
Yes. Where your design relies on tight front and back alignment, we set print tolerances accordingly and review artwork with you before production. This matters most on small formats where even a small shift would be noticeable.
Yes. We can supply 3 side seal sachets in mono material PE or PP structures for both food and non food applications. These recyclable options are recommended where your product, shelf life and local recycling routes make them a realistic choice, and we will always be open about where they fit and where they do not.
