Rotogravure and digital printing differ primarily in the way they transfer images onto the print substrate.

Gravure printing involves using engraved cylinders to apply ink to the substrate. It’s best suited for large-scale production runs, offering consistent, high-quality prints with vibrant colors and intricate details. While the setup time is longer, it becomes more cost-effective as the order quantity increases.

Digital printing bypasses the need for physical plates or cylinders, applying the image directly onto the material using digital technology. This method is faster to set up and offers greater flexibility, making it ideal for smaller runs or designs that require frequent updates.

The minimum order quantity typically depends on the print process. For Rotogravure-printed custom pouches, the minimum is 10,000 units, while for digital-printed stand-up pouches, we can start with as low as 1,000 units.

Lead times vary based on the quantity and type of product you choose. For digital printing, the lead time is around 4 weeks for new prints, and for gravure printing, it’s approximately 10-12 weeks. For repeat orders, we typically deliver within 2-3 weeks for digital printing and 8-10 weeks for gravure printing.

Please note that lead times always begin from the confirmation of your order and approval of the artwork, not from the release of the artwork.

We can print up to 10 colours with Rotogravure printing, including surface varnishes. With digital printing, the colour possibilities are endless, allowing you to use as many colours as you like!

Of course! Here are a few options:

  1. Digital Printing: This method is perfect for smaller runs and allows you to print multiple designs without the setup costs associated with Rotogravure printing.
  2. Shared Plate Costs: If your designs are similar, we can use shared printing plates/cylinders for common elements, reducing overall costs.
  3. Pouch Size: We can help you to order different SKU designs on the same size bags, which can help lower the cost per unit by ordering in bulk.
  4. Economical Material Choices: We can help you to choose cost-effective materials that still meet your quality standards. This can help lower the overall cost of your packaging.

We offer a variety of material finishes for all our product types, including:

  1. Matte Finish: Provides a smooth, non-glossy appearance that gives a premium, understated look.
  2. Gloss Finish: Offers a shiny, reflective surface that enhances the vibrancy of colors and designs.
  3. Paper-Touch: Provides a natural, eco-friendly appearance, often used for sustainable packaging.
  4. Metallic Finish: Adds a shiny, metallic sheen that creates a high-end, eye-catching effect.
  5. Clear Windows: Allows visibility of the product inside while maintaining the packaging’s overall design.

We provide a variety of environmentally friendly and recyclable packaging options to meet different needs. Our recyclable bags are often made from mono-material LDPE and BOPP, which are plastics that can be recycled into new products. For a plastic-free alternative, we offer compostable packaging that can naturally decompose in the environment. However, this option has limited applications and may not be suitable for all product types.

When recommending the best packaging solution, we take into account all aspects of the materials and their intended use.

The disposal options for our packaging depend on the material and the waste processing facilities available in your area. Our compostable packaging can be disposed of in-home recycling bins as they are plastic-free and made of paper materials.

For customers in Ireland and certain European countries, our recyclable plastic packaging can also be placed in dry recycling waste bins at home. In other regions, this packaging may need to be taken to collection points at larger stores.
